“Red pill” rhetoric has little to do with acquiring knowledge, and much more to do with the ego satisfaction in believing you know what others don’t. You’re “better.”

The world tells all of us, in large and small ways, that we don’t matter. It’s hard to feel like you have agency. Easy to see conspiracy everywhere. Folks out here prey on that. They’ll lead you to extremity, but you’ll pay the price. They’ll make money.
Due to our divisions, you’ll see a lot of people, from every point of view, telling you to be mad about something and in the next breath, subscribe, buy the book, etc.
