Here’s an appreciation thread to Black Women & other Women of color who play characters that are heavily criticized for being human, having feelings and making mistakes meanwhile the white characters on their show get free passes to do whatever (based on shows I watch/ed)

I binge watched #TheFlash a little over a year ago to see why the character recieved so much hate and surprise surprise it was completely unfounded. She breathes and hoes are upset. Anyways,character and actress have a place in my heart

It’ll always be fuck Julie Blech for continuously putting her through pain then sending her to Africa (no specific country.)
Kat and Bonnie deserved so much more

Another character who is constantly beaten down and broken but never awarded any happiness for herself.

That’s my baby and my comfort character and I just want her to be happy

Anya Charlota as Yennefer of Vengerberg #TheWitcher

From the moment she was cast the racist had a lot to say. Now there’s a whole fandom that enjoys trashing her character and erasing her from the narrative to ship two white men.

Anyways her character isn’t going anywhere

I haven’t watched #Titans cause I can’t tell if the tl actually likes the show or not lmao but I have seen the racism she has had to endure and it makes me sick.

I’ve watched her scenes though and she’s perfect and I might watch just for her

What was the point of putting her in the show if you weren’t going to utilize this beautiful and talented woman. Then they put her in a spin-off with lame ass Katy Keene when SHE and the other pussycats should’ve had their own show.

Got hate and racism thrown at her for her character hooking up with ugly ass white boy. They’re going on season five and she STILL has no background or family and barely has any lines .... enough said lol

Dominique Tipper as Naomi Nagata #TheExpanse

Made a mistake in season 2 and we’re going into season 5! And people are still bringing it up. A show where NO ONE is perfect. People question her presence in the crew when she’s a self taught Chief engineer with MULTIPLE degrees!

Fola evans-akingbola as Maddie Bishop #siren

Racist & homophobic ass fans complained about her being in a throuple with two yts the writers have since then broken them up and kept her story far from them even tho she’s a main character.

Heather Hemmens as Maria DeLuca #roswellnewmexico

The actress and character get torn apart cause they ship her man with someone else. Overall she just deserves so much better
