ever since admitting to myself I'm really not that great at 1) having a consistent well worked out artstyle and 2) being too slow at drawing and 3) that there's so so much to improve on, lineart, shading and colors, I've been feeling very liberated

like admitting your weaknesses actually can take a huge weight off your chest, i mean no wonder ppl only liked my fanart of ffxv, it's not bcs of the art, but bcs of the content and feeling i conveyed that most ppl liked

so from now on im gonna be more humble, makes me feel less stingy that way

maybe it's bcs my eyes are improving but im not rly satisfied with anything im drawing recently and i REALLY REALLY want to go back to that one style i used while drawing ffxv and i think it's bcs i used a certain brush in PS i need to. recreate in procreate

anyways this thread sounds gloomy but I'm actually PUMPED. everything i drew until now was just a huge experimentation on styles and im finally ready to shape out that one artstyle that is mine. i mean i still want to be versatile but i want both flats and paintings look like me
