Something that grinds my gears is when Christians toss around the “Social Gospel” label whenever they’re confronted with their responsibility to do justice.

It’s not even the proper application of the label.
The “Social Gospel” was a movement in the late 1800’s and early 1900s that thought God needed help to advance his kingdom—that the Second Coming couldn’t happen unless humans made earth ready first.

Doing justice is not “Social Gospel.”
“Social Gospel” is a ridiculous belief that doesn’t talk about the real gospel: Jesus Christ crucified and raised for you.

Doing justice is simply what Christians do when they know the real gospel: Jesus Christ was crucified and raised for you.
Saved and secure in the gospel, the Christian should live a life of thankfulness in service to their neighbor.

They should advocate for the unborn. They should advocate for victims of racism. They should encourage families to celebrate life, and more!

Do justice.
