I understand irritation with queer adults treating all-ages shows as the peak of representation but look, I'm a sex-averse asexual, my TV choices are all-ages shows where I can pretend the queer girls are like me or adult shows where I'm constantly reminded the queer women aren't
Until we stop equating queer adulthood (and queer maturity more broadly) with having queer sex this is likely to stay the same, but considering we don't do so great with that in real life outside of TV/film representation I'm not holding my breath for this to change any time soon
The real issue is that many queer all-ages shows are showing a more interesting variety of queer characters that queer adults can see themselves in and relate to than most adult shows because of the idea that representation and explorations of identity are only necessary for kids
