The evolution of SS501
In 2005, SS501 debuted with their first single "Warning", with which they saw the first glimpses of success, winning their first prize in a music program three months after debuting, with the song "Never Again".
Later, the second single "Snow Prince" was released to the market, this being his first hit in South Korea.
In 2006, the group was inactive for most of the year, due to the condition of Heo Young Saeng's throat, which even required delicate surgery and time to recover from it.
In mid 2006, they had their first "Step Up Concert" in Osaka, Japan.They then returned to Korea to promote their first studio album, "ST 01 Now".

In 2008, SS501 received the "Revelation Award" from the Japan Gold Disc Award;this being the first time that a Korean artist was awarded this award.
The group returned to Korea with their third single "Deja Vu".

In 2010, before finalizing his contract with DSP, his latest mini album entitled "Destination" was released and whose title track, "Love Ya" was a resounding success, reaching number 1 on several charts in Korea and Japan.
