Twitter,
A small thread, in aid of someone else. (Some of you reading this may have already helped her via others on here)

In between *everything* going on today, I was messaged this afternoon (via DM) by a lovely lady called Maureen.

(1/10)
Maureen was very sweet, and apologetic, for messaging me. She humbled me more than a bit by saying my general quips on here; mixing opinion with a little humour where I can, reminded her very much of her son Joe. Maureen’s very kind words to me were...

(2/10)
“...he would have liked your truthfulness and the way you use the humour to do it.”

Twitter, I got a bit wobbly reading that, because Maureen then told me that Joe passed away on 15th August 2016 of a brain aneurysm.

But, that was only part of the day...

(3/10)
... On that same day Maureen’s husband was diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia.

Maureen is a 24/7 carer for her Husband, and reading her words (in DM, and on her Twitter timeline) she, understandably, has good days and bad with her husband and is doing what she can.

(4/10)
Maureen wishes she could tell Joe that she’s keeping a promise to look after his Dad.

Now, Twitter. Here’s where you (hopefully) come in.

Maureen felt ashamed (her words) in asking if I'd consider sharing a list of hygiene basics she needs to look after her Husband.

(5/10)
Maureen even profusely apologised if she had offended me by doing so. She again said she felt ashamed, but appreciated me considering it.

Twitter, I KNOW times being what they are, things are tough. I KNOW there are people on this hellsite who ask for money etc.

(6/10)
Maureen isn’t.

She’s asked me to share a simple list for hygiene items to help her look after her Husband 24/7. I’ve checked the list. It’s a very simple list.
Wipes, Hand wash, Gloves, Sprays, Towels etc.

(7/10)
I’ve also seen on Maureen’s timeline mutual followers (a number of them verified) who have also in recent weeks shone a light on what Maureen is going through. For her Husband, and for Joe.

So, Twitter.

Today, of all days, when the world is a little bit crazy...

(8/10)
... Can we help Maureen?

I won't embarass her by linking on this thread to her account, but will msg. her a link. Maureen can add to it if she wishes.

Here’s the list, folks. I think a number of items have already been sorted.

Over to you.

Finally, to Maureen.

In your very lovely and kind DM, you twice said you felt ashamed in asking for help. You've sent proof to many of what you're going through.

Please don't be ashamed. The sign of any good community is responding kindly when someone asks for help.
