Dear lol Root of hindu culture is Vedas and in vedas there are only 2 term
1- jaati
2- Varna
Jaati means classification based on source of origin.
And these are four
1- Udbhija ( for plants)
2-Andaja ( coming out from eggs)
3- Pindaja ( mammals)
4- Ushmaj ( for bacteria Etc.) https://twitter.com/known_designer/status/1264925569466204161
People refer jaati as caste but let me tell you caste is an european innovation having no semblance in vedic culture.
Vedic culture says All humans are equal because their jati is pindaja
You can say pindaja is their caste.
Now Come to the point what is brahmin kshatriya vaishya and shudras,
These all are varna.
varna means "One that is adopted by choice"
That is why vedic system gave "Varnashram system"
Not "caste system"
@known_designer you were quoting purush shukta for proving that brahmin came from this and kshatriya from this but in vedas god has no shape Now check the yajurved 40.8
Purush shukta is in the 31st chapter of yajur veda And you quoted 31.11 Have you checked 31.10 Too?

How people changed their varna by their work.

The word shudra came in vedas 20 times.
Nowhere it is used as derogatory manner.
Nowhere it is said that they are untouchable.
Yajurveda 30.5 Says shudra means "Hard working person".
So there is no caste system in vedas clearly.
