🏝✨ I live in the outskirts of where they filmed Outer Banks so here is a little guide thread if you’re ever in the area and you want to visit some iconic places from the show! ✨🏝
This is in order coming up from the southern state border of South Carolina with Georgia. If you follow this thread in that order it will take you to each place without back tracking.
1. Redford Lighthouse. This is where John B and Kiara go to find out information about the Royal Merchant when the worker calls the cops and says there are “teenagers on drugs” at the lighthouse. It is actually the Hunting Island lighthouse. (1/2)
The lighthouse can be found at: 2555 Sea Island Parkway, St. Helena Island, SC.
2. The Boneyard. This beach is where Topper attempts to drown John B but JJ pulls out the gun. The beach is actually the same beach the lighthouse is at so you literally can just walk to it from the lighthouse!!
I just realized autocorrect changed “Redfield” to “Redford” but I’m too lazy to delete it so deal with it.
Here are some reference pictures before we move on.
3. Summer Winds Motel. This is where the key leads the pogues to and where we get the famous “housekeeping” line. The room in the corner was the one used where they found the money and gun. (1/2)
This is actually the Creekside Lands Inn and it is located at: 2545 Savannah Hwy., Charleston, SC.
4. Sarah Cameron’s Home. This place is BEAUTIFUL!!! It is actually a wedding venue called Lowndes Grove and you can see the dock too behind it where the scuba gear confrontation goes down.
It is located at: 266 Margaret St. Charleston, SC. 29403

It is private property so be respectful!
5. The Ben Silver Store. This is an actual store downtown! It was closed because of COVID-19 but we pulled up to the curb to get a picture. It is located at: 149 King St., Charleston, SC 29401
6. The Wreck Restaurant. Where Kiara works. Yes, This is an actual restaurant!! And it’s called The Wreck of the Richard & Charlene. Pope’s father’s seafood market is right next door too. (I didn’t go because it was roped off but here is the restaurant!!)
The Wreck: Located at: 106 Haddrell St., Mt. Pleasant, SC.
If you take the route on this that I’m mapping from start to finish, when you drive from Ben Silver to The Wreck you get this view of the “island” from the bridge from the show. (I was driving so I couldn’t get a picture of it but it’s there!!)
