DC versus Marvel is the real mythopoetic grounding of the "Right versus Left" dialectic. DC's universe is High Romantic Tragedy of Schmittian states of exception, sovereignty, lines of friends/enemies, etc-- Marvel is about "intelligence agencies" representing "the family"
The heroes in DC's cosmos are outcast orphan titans warring over irreconcilable philosophical differences.

The heroes in Marvel movies are "essential workers doing their jobs."
Thanos belongs to the DC universe, as he's just a crib of Kirby's DARKSEID-- this is why the "reconciliation" of Thanos in ENDGAME is a total farce requiring absurd leaps into "time travel" -- fundamentally a technocratic vision of "rewriting history so Thanos can never win"
The difference is between Batman & Ironman at the base of it-- with Batman you have a dour puritanical "justified sinner" enforcing justice upon a Sinful World-- Ironman is a "celebrity tycoon who does epic CIA contracting work to defend Democracy"
I don't really hate "super hero" stuff as a genre-- it's more that it's become totally MARVELIZED-- which makes it extremely shitty-- loses all the DARK ROMANTICISM inherent in the DETECTIVE COMICS universe, spawned by Poe & pulp writers-- ultimately going back to ETA Hoffmann.
What I want is a Wagnerian Gesamtkunstwerk blockbuster opera written by Alan Moore called "Twilight of the Superheroes" -- that's what DC was supposed to do.
