Look, I'm autistic. I like rules (reasonable, sensible rules at least) to be followed and the spirit of them held up. I don't like people who find loopholes or abuse rules to gain an advantage - loopholes aren't rewards fof intelligence, they're inevitable flaws and moral traps.
A person who so readily admits they have clearly abused rules by not following them in the same way as everyone else is simply a cheat. It's simple.
For a cheat to monopolise the Monday afternoon of a whole country by going into exhaustive detail how and why they cheated, with no apology, no regret, then that person is no longer a cheat: they're a villain.
The rules were important. Maybe some of the most important rules for a long time, in terms of their impact. These rules had flaws, holes, issues but our job as sensible folk was to recognise the spirit of them, recognise the importance. Not dance around them.
Cummings treated the lockdown rules like a kid treats school rules when they're not worried about the consequences. And I just cannot accept that. I can't. It's wrong.
