Trust and faith are hand in glove. To trust is an exercise of faith. Consider how often you've seen and heard the mantra "trust the experts" in the last few months, particularly at the outset. Read the following quote and substitute "trust" for "faith."

“Where there is evidence, no one speaks of ‘faith’. We do not speak of faith that two and two are four or that the earth is round. We only speak of faith when we wish to substitute emotion for evidence.” -- Bertrand Russell

This is what Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids wanted (and still want): an obedient exercise of faith that results in a social control scheme where you do what they wish you to do, and they sit at the top basking in self-righteous satisfaction, knowing you kowtowed.

Some Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids will use numbers, but we shouldn't confuse that with evidence. It's emotional terrorism, such as mentioning that "x number of Americans are dead." Easily spotted, they'll try to mock you if you mention contextualizing evidence.

Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids won't tell you that, for example, Pennsylvania has had more deaths age 105 and over than age 30 and under; more age 100 and over than 45 and under; more age 95 and older than age 60 and under. (Chart is 3 days old).

Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids will scold you about mask-wearing while citing national statistics for deaths and case counts. They don't want to deal in fine-grained data. They want nationwide solutions to regional problems. (Red, yellow, and green are equal in load.)

Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids wouldn't look at Minnesota, where long term care patients are 1% of the population, 81% of deaths, with 28% of those testing positive dying. In 99% of the population, it's 88% of all known cases and less than 1% who tested positive dying.

If Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids would have put even a fraction of the energy they've spent on trying to affect social control in the general population into protecting nursing homes and long-term care facilities, we could have saved ~50% of America's total lost lives.

Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids also don't mention recoveries, which is perhaps the best example that they don't care about lives. As of the 24th, there are 366,736 reported recoveries, and that's without all locations reporting them -- nearly 80% of all closed cases.

Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids are also not going to mention the CDC's recent estimation of the infection fatality rate (based on available data). It works out to be 0.26%, which is on par with pandemic influenza. They'll label you "Flu Crew." https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/coronavirus/cdc-says-coronavirus-infection-fatality-rate-could-be-low-026-nearly

I could go on, but there'd be little use. Flat Curvers and Bannon Brovids are a mixture of hyper-Karens, clout-chasers, and crooks. They're out for clicks, dollars, and social control -- lives are incidental. Burn them to the ground and don't give them what they want.
