Quick thread

So... Colorado is taking a major step toward reopening with restaurant announcement today.

Some things to consider:
Data is telling us things haven't looked better in months.

-- 15 straight days of positivity below 10%
-- Hospitalized #'s lowest since March 30
-- testing remains BELOW Governor's goal... BUT... I think a more fitting metric is "If I have any symptoms, can I get a test and results ASAP"
(we are very close to that right now)

-- Daily admissions generally below 50 (Was five times that back in April)
-- cases reached peak in mid April... Have gone down since then (although -- and this shouldn't be ignored -- the virus is clearly still here based on the data)

(this is 3-day average chart)
What does it all mean?

That the trends are good. Colorado is weeks past peak...

Under this guidance, some amount of reopening is inevitable (unless you're assuming it's ok for the economy to continue to tank)
BUT... (you knew there had to be a BUT in there, right?)

We will have to watch these numbers very closely from here on out.

I'll be watching hospitalization admittance, positivity, and case counts (to some degree)

Let's hope the numbers continue to go down.
