People who pursue artistic careers often get made fun of because "haha, how u mke $$$, fst füd??" but the thing is, that's functioning under the assumption that they'll be pursuing an independent, solo endeavor.

And that makes sense, most artists are very reserved, keep... (1/?)
to themselves, and tend to do their work alone, with no one watching. But that doesn't mean that you can't, or even that you shouldn't, be part of a team. You are no less an artist because you dedicate your talents to someone else's project. Hell, you're no less an artist (2/?)
for not having a project at all. And guess what? Being part of a team is huge security. Those credits at the end of movies and games that you barely bother to read? They contain the names of a bunch of artists that helped create something that millions of people, around the (3/?)
world, enjoy. At the end of the day... Isn't that what being an artist is about? Not the recognition, not the fame, but the satisfaction of working on something you're passionate about? Plus, think about it, some dude animated Elsa in one scene and gets to say, "Yeah, (4/?)
"I worked on Disney's Frozen", and that guy is some little girl's favorite uncle. Some other dude probably animated the glass shattering in Into the Spiderverse, and that scene doesn't look as cool without that glass shattering. She gets to have that. Because she was a part (5/?)
of a team that was brought together, even if for the sake of box office revenue, to make something incredible. Speaking of incredible, yeah, Brad Bird wrote The Incredibles by himself, but he didn't make the movie on his own. Hell, he had 10 other Story Artists for this (6/?)
one movie. So if you're wondering what you can do with your art degree, remember that there are worlds of possibilities. You just have to share in those possibilities and be a team player. You might be part of something that earned you a bit of experience, or you could take (7/?)
part in the next big thing. So write, draw, animate, experiment, reach out. But never stop creating just because you don't think it'll get you anywhere. If it's your passion, you'll do everything you can to get out there.

And that's beautiful. (8/8)
