Though a low probability event, for the first time in the modern era (hell, maybe in any era: calling @jmeacham here) it is not a NO probability event. That's the only time since I've been alive where its not been no probability. I think it would be naive not to think about it.

My hope is the nat security & intel apparatus, the Sec. of Homeland Security & other key cabinet officials, Pence & Pompeo, Trump's military advisers, McConnell-that these critical players will have the balls to realize that Trump is absolutely irresponsible enough to do this if

he loses. And the threat of serious social upheaval is real. MUCH would depend on Trump's personal conduct & rhetoric, but I think the rhetoric of his son's and other influencers like Hannity are equally important. Maybe, MAYBE if these people are given a serious briefing about

the potential for serious violence maybe they would reign it in. But yes, worries about the post-election environment, whichever outcome, are serious.
