Women overwhelmingly choose to leave the workforce & stay home when they have children & can afford to do so.

Feminists of different stripes make different claims around this.

1. It’s an undue burden that society simply expects of them, so they comply....
This assumes that women are mindless & can only act out of expectations, which betrays a low view of women.

2. Stay at home moms are exercising a privileged mindset.

This is historically ignorant and betrays a low view of women in the home because it assumes....
That women in the professional workforce is the “norm” & staying home is a break with that norm. Those that break this norm do so because they have sufficient funds to enjoy a cushier life.

Meanwhile, most families that give up a dual income give up the American norm
of large mortgages, multiple car payments, vacations, etc., in order to invest in the mom being in the home. It is a privilege, but not in the way the feminists think it is. The privilege is in the work itself, but I digress.

Either way....
Women do overwhelmingly choose to stay home, giving things up as they do, and it’s rarely for the blatantly women-belittling reasons feminists give because they can’t see the value in the work of the home that Christians ought to.
