Why Memorial Day matters.

Without the sacrifice of our veterans, we would be a conquered nation. Not enough people understand how bad that would be, so let me spell it our for you.

A conquered nation cannot control who enters their lands. Foreign men enter, work, and are given standing to control the future government.

Since the government works for those foreign men and not the conquered, they are given everything and the native population gets nothing.

In a conquered nation, the institutions of higher learning are used to educate the conquerers and not the native population. The few that are allowed must repeat the talking point that the conquered nation was unjust and unworthy of continuing.

In a conquered nation, funds and blood are taken from the native population and used for the defense of the conquerers. Financing the conquerers needs comes before providing for the native population.

In a conquered nation, the conquerers create groups that aggressively advocate for more treasure and privileges. The native people are not allowed to be spoken about out loud, they are not allowed to create groups, and any of them that attempt advocacy are punished economically.

In a conquered nation, any crime or violence (real or unreal) that the native population may carry out against an invader is heavily promoted while violence against the native population is never allowed to be discussed.

In a conquered nation, the statues and memorials to the ancestors are torn down and the children can only be taught that these were bad people. This is to ensure that they never know that the lands they live on were once theirs and absent of foreign tyranny.

In a conquered nation, your history is rewritten to assert that the conquers have always ruled your lands. Your mythology is rewritten with the conquerers in place of your people.

This is again done so that their descendants never yearn for what they once had.
