I know we're all angry about Cummings, but this behaviour from the likes of Jones has been going on for years and it absolutely infuriates me.

...to tacitly support that abuse, while refusing to engage with the substance of their arguments, is an act of intellectual and moral cowardice, and it blows my mind that Jones is still allowed to get away with it.

Here's why I mentioned Cummings. If The Left does not require of itself the standards it demands from The Right, how the fuck do they ever expect to be taken seriously by the general public? Labour needs to urgently clear house of hypocritical careerists like Jones.

Also: Owen Jones, here's a proposition for you. Stop calling people bigots and hate groups and actually DEFEND YOUR POSITIONS ON CAMERA to someone like @artymortyarty (gay man) @ArielleScarcell (lesbian) @NewgentTGA (trans man) or @FionneOrlander (trans woman)

I suspect that even if he does agree he will wriggle out of it again somehow. But even that will be useful. We need to recognise the tactics of people like Jones, so we can stop being fooled by people like Jones.
