Basic edicts that I live by as a scout/analyst:
Rank the players you've seen. Don't be dishonest. You're probably wrong about most of it. Stick your neck out for players you like AND have reasons for it.

I think J.D nails it in this thread. I never make it known or point people out but there are a lot of 'analysts' that put out rankings of all sizes, who have never watched the players play. Nothing is worse than when you ask about a player and you get "Well I've never seen him"
