...over the loss of so many of their friends, brothers, sisters. And I continue to think about the men and women who have been casualties of a war that followed them home.

Nothing we can do could possibly repay what the fallen have given us. At the very least, we owe them our solemn gratitude. And we owe them our commitment to continually bettering this nation they died serving.
