If I’m being honest, keeping a consistent reading habit has gotten harder as I’ve gotten older. Joking about the stack of unread books on your shelf is cute until you pick it up again and realize it’s taken you two years to finish a book
But, my unsolicited advice to anyone else having a similar struggle is that managing expectations goes a long way. I’ve been rigorously sticking to 5 pages a day, no more no less, for a few weeks now and these books are actually getting finished.
No, I will not share what books I’m finishing because a few of them are classics that I’m embarrassed to still not have read at my big age
