Having watched this Cummings press conference, I’m struggling to work out which bit is the least believable
1/
So, his wife falls ill and he thinks he might get/have got the virus

1) there’s literally no care available locally to arguably the one of the most powerful people in the UK?

2/
2) they decide to go to Durham in part because his house is under constant siege yet nobody seemingly saw him pack their cases into his car

3) his car coincidentally had a full tank of petrol to drive all the way up to Durham without stopping.

3/
4) he was in the throws of getting sick but drove 4-5 hours without stopping and nobody, including a young child needed the loo
5) his wife who was supposedly self-isolating went with his now sick child to A&E and not his sister or nieces who they travelled all that way to be near to take care of the child in such an eventuality.
6) a doctor gave him the all clear to drive back but his vision was blurred so they tested whether it was ok to drive by driving (with blurred vision) on a public road with his wife and child? What?
7) he never thought to leave his wife and family in the safety of Durham by, say, getting a train back to London on his own?
8) on said 5 mile test drive, his child, who managed to not need the loo at any point on the 5 hour journey up or down, suddenly needed the loo. Coincidentally at a local beauty spot. On his wife’s birthday (has this been confirmed?)
9) he may or may not have told the prime minister

10) nobody else knew he was there? No one from the government? A key member of this administration neglected to tell anyone else, no other member of the cabinet where he’d been?
11) if they’re being so honest and open, why did no one know they were there. If they weren’t hiding something, how is it not mentioned by his wife in her column?
12) this ‘testing my eyesight business’, does his wife drive? Would she, by this stage, be well enough to drive back, rather than someone with dodgy vision?
It just doesn’t add up. Maybe it’s all a series of unfortunate coincidences. Or maybe it’s a pack of lies, conjured up because they got caught breaking the rules when others have suffered terribly through following them.
Sorry for the rambling. Had to get it off my chest.
