There is definitely a time and a place for everything. Yes, I have heard stories about people who get their first big break at 30. People who find love in their forties. People who change careers and find their true calling in their 50s. But these are expeditions. Most of these
people have strong support systems in place. For most of us, time is of the essence. I lost three years of my life and I firmly believe that I would have been better at my job, had I started when I was supposed to. There are a dozen other factors that come into play. Our health
doesnât stay the same. Our passion fades away. Our tolerance for other people goes down. Isolation starts to look more and more appealing. Mediocrity becomes more and more acceptable. So even though there is no dedicated timeline to when we should be able to achieve our goals,
I do think that there is a âbestâ or at least a relative best time for most milestones in life. Yes, this includes relationships and career choices. So this whole narrative of âtime is a social constructâ is not entirely accurate. Time is the enemy and we canât outrun it.
EXCEPTIONS** FFS not expeditions
