Racialized, low-income, immigrant/refugee communities and the elderly are getting scammed because there are so little resources out there, not only for credible information but also in navigating/accessing technology
Organizing in the last few months on something so focused on translation/language access has made me realize that this is only the tip of the iceberg. What we’re facing now is a deeply disturbing view of how people are left behind + to feel hopeless bc of the tech landscape
But really this thread is also about how tech bros also suck and how we need to stop thinking that technology is an inherent good/neutral entity
