[A THREAD] #30DaysofThreads How @youngrog (Artist) can use Text Marketing to monetize of his following.

A Case Study

Everyone said Young Rog won quarantine. I can agree but this idea for Artists is genius.

Let's explore.
On May 22nd, @youngrog shared this pic and said:

"Momma look, yo son on a billboard".

I immediately saw his number and I understood the play.

As his popularity increases, it's important that he continues to push people to content he owns (like his mobile contacts).
After taking a deep dive into his website, I definitely see some technical gaps when it comes to continuing engagement with his audience.

Here are 3 things he can do to build even more engagement & monetize his audience by using Text Marketing
1). Place his number or mobile club link on social:

People are following him on all media platforms.

Why not let people know the engagement doesn't stop there and to signup for his mobile club.

@youngrog can purchase a domain like http://textyoungrog.com  to send people to.
After I visited his social platforms and website, I see no mention of his number anywhere.

To build his mobile list, he has to let people know he has a one.

The billboard is great and people are talking about it. However, people are not going to go looking for that billboard.
2). Create a mobile marketing strategy for his brand and music:

Most of his audience is probably consuming his content and music on a mobile device.

Why not figure out a way to continue that engagement after someone listens to his music. A mobile strategy is important!
3). Integrate his mobile marketing to his (future) shop for the e-commerce play:

If @youngrog decided to create merch, it will probably convert much better if he integrated mobile marketing into it.

(see next tweet)
Once again, Text Marketing has an open rate of 98%.

If @youngrog wants to do special releases, launches, sales, etc, his mobile club would have his inventory sold out before it even got to his email list.

Most people shop from their phones anyway.

E-commerce is on the rise.
Mobile Marketing is on the rise and I hope @youngrog and his team get on board.

I hope you all enjoyed this case study.
