Over the years, we've had great footballers who've etched their names into the game's folklore by virtue of their exploits.

Here's a thread of 10 of the greatest players to ever grace the game. I considered talent, individual success and team success to put this together.
10. Roberto Baggio
He's a former Italian footballer who plies his trade as a supporting striker/attacking midfielder.

He was technically gifted and a set piece specialist, renowned for his dribbling skills and goals. He made a habit of scoring worldies throughout his career.
In 1993, he was named World Player of the Year and won the Ballon d'Or.

He led Italy to the World cup final at USA' 94 and won the silver ball at the mundial. He became the first Italian to score 300 career goals in 2002.

He was the inaugural winner of the golden foot award.
9. Alfredo Di Stefano

Di Stefano was best known for his exploits during Madrid's phenomenal European cup run in the 50s scoring in all 5 finals.

He featured mostly for Spain but also played for Argentina and Colombia.

He powerful, quick, skillful, and prolific forward.
He had great stamina and was a goal poacher by every standard scoring 216 league goals in 262 games for Madrid.

He was awarded the Ballon d'Or for the European Footballer of the Year in 1957 and 1959.

Considered one of the greatest ever to turn out for the Los Blancos.
