Most magic is played outside of sanctioned events and it's largely a social contract game.

Find playgroups who allow proxies.
You don't have to give money to WotC if you're fed up shady shit or artificial scarcity that only benefits those with large amounts of cash.
"But I don't wanna have a playgroups full of overpowered decks."

Social contract. Power level considerations should be solely that, and not tied to how much money someone has.

All the cards in the above tweet cost me around a quarter each and do the same thing as a real card.
Don't get me wrong. I love collecting. But I'm not going to give up my hobby that I play with my friends in our homes because WotC continues transformation into whatever it's becoming.
P.S. Don't buy or circulate counterfeits.

Proxies can hit a corporations bottom line. Counterfeits hurt players.
P.P.S. Support your local game stores in other ways if you swear off magic.
