i finished this last night, but once again, i'm still thinking about the similarities between the writing and songs from h, so i decided to put this together as well
πšžπš—πš‹πšŽπš•πš’πšŽπšŸπšŽπš›πšœ πš‹πš’ πš’πšœπšπš‘πšŠπšπš’πš˜πšžπš•πšŠπš›πš›πš’
this one was another very good story. i read and finished it in one night because i couldn't put it down, so definitely check it out!
this was written and finished in 2015: four years before fine line. throughout the story, however, a few references reminded me of h's music
like his latest album, this story explores the fine line between love and hate. i found the continual crossing of that boundary by the characters fascinating
the first similarity i noted was with golden. although golden has an upbeat sound, the lyrics tell another story about fearing abandonment and being alone. one instance that was almost verbatim from the song:
lyrics that reminded me of similarities: i don't wanna be alone // i don't wanna be alone // when it ends don't wanna let you know // i don't wanna be alone
the next similarity occurred with sunflower, vol. 6. this song is about the lighthearted, if not bittersweet, memories of a love that's gone. domestic moments like this made me think of the song:
lyrics that reminded me of similarities: wondering headshake, tired eyes are the death of me // mouth full of toothpaste, before i got to know you
the final glaring similarity is with to be so lonely. the song is about trying to move on from a past relationship but being stuck in old feelings and memories. moments like this once again made me remember the song:
lyrics that reminded me of similarities: don't call me "baby" again // you got your reasons
those are all the screenshots i have, but please consider reading this incredible story and finding more at this thread! https://twitter.com/goldensunflouer/status/1262409168285102082?s=19
