Hang on. Dominic Cummings just said he went home to his wife, who was sick, during the lockdown, then left his home and returned to Downing Street in the afternoon. That’s a breach in itself.

All this information in Cummings' press statement, yet strangely it was omitted from his wife's writing about them having coronavirus weeks ago. If they believe they did nothing wrong, why did she not mention any of it?

Cummings says he had to get out of the car after driving 30 miles for a walk because his son needed the toilet. He says anyone would have done that. But the exact reason long drives for exercise was banned was because of this very risk. He should know - he helped write the rules.

Not sure why anyone wants the advice of a man who thought this excruciating press conference was a good idea.
