this is how you know how much "both sides" is ingrained on the right and when it is practiced in the mainstream media, is a way to give the gop a leg up. obama golfing on memorial day weekend has nothing to do with golfing on the day and especially not during a pandemic.

for decades the right has said negative things on republicans MUST be balanced with negative stories on democrats, and if you need to elevate nothingburgers by dems to gop crimes. this is what "but obama golfed too" is an attempt to do. its total bs.

the end product here is breitbart wants the msm to say "while trump is being criticized for golfing during a pandemic that killed 100,000, obama also played golf." it elevates the mundane thing to the gross behavior of trump, negating it. thats what "both sides" is about.

if you cant defend trump golfing while thousands of americans bury their families (you can't), you reach for a "but the democrats" defense. never mind you've injured yourself by stretching so hard.

the response here is not to get into the ticky-tack back and forth of the details of presidential golfing. the two have no comparison. trump is golfing during a global pandemic that has killed thousands of americans. that is the focus. that is the point. don't give in.
