1/ There are a few times I& #39;ve winced at Rogan& #39;s choice of guests, but it is a silver lining in a dire media landscape that there is a massive audience for long, winding conversations with generally interesting people. 2/ of the worst, most sanctimonious assholes in media view him as Hitler. This is tied directly to his success: People like him because he does NOT come across as the sort of prick who will call your boss to try to get you fired, at a time when media has embraced that role. So
3/ many of us come across as raging, censorious dickheads. This is NOT the cause of media& #39;s decline. If anything, the causality flows the other way: Downsizing leads to desperate outrage content leads to shrieking garbage. But still: Be more introspective about his success.
4/ I do hope Rogan at least thinks a bit more seriously about bringing on people like Jones or Molyneux without aggressively challenging them (just have a producer do some skeptical research!). Can& #39;t retreat to I& #39;M JUST A COMEDIAN at this level of platform.
