Why @CWKatyKeene should have a Wicked Musical Episode; a thread
On this thread I'll choose some songs from the musical and put them with a character I think should sing them on the show, and also provide some context to what I think could happen on the episode/the scenes to make them sing
First: we would start the episode with a choir version of No One Mourns the Wicked where everyone's singing it together just for the aesthetics
The next song is Wizard and I, sung by Ginger as one of her performances on Molly's Crisis
On this episode, the Kiss of The Spider Woman production finally got picked for a Broadway or a famous Off-Broadway theatre, so it's not just a song, it also reflects her feelings
On this episode, Kevin would make a return to the show and (as I hope will actually.happen) this time as a regular character
But something happens that makes Jorge and Kevin argue for some reason, so they sing What is This Feeling together
Kevin sings as Elphaba cuz Casey DESERVES to have his vocals appreciated like they never were in That Other Show™️ and Jorge sings as Galinda
Maybe the song can have the same sexual tension it does in the musical, ending with them almost kissing
Or maybe not, it's good both ways
Next, we cut to Pepper and Josie

While everything in Josie's life is working for her: her music is getting famous, she's going to Broadway, etc, Pepper is at her rock bottom
So, to cheer her up and help her rise above her problems, Josie sings Popular
After the song, Josie gets the idea to host a soiree in the Pepper Plant to celebrate Kiss of The Spider Woman going to a Broadway
Then, we move to the first Katy song, a version of I'm Not That Girl, where she's having Love Issues™️

Idk I think Lucy's vocals would work really well in this song
The next songs are a bit more upbeat
We have sort of a mashup of One Short Day and Dancing Through Life that is sung by all of the characters while they're working in the preparations for the soiree
After that, the soiree is starting:
Everyone's invited, including Gloria and François
For the soiree, Chubby sings Wonderful and Sentimental Man because you just can't have Tony Winner André DeShields in your show and not have him sing
Then, Josie goes up on stage and sings Thank Goodness (yes I'm giving the Glinda songs to Asleigh cause she'd be a great Glinda on Broadway or on the movie and you know I'm right)
this song doesn't have the same "I'm not actually happy" mood that it has on the musical, tho
It's just a song for the soiree
The soiree goes on, and at some point Katy has to go to Lacy's to get something for François or for herself that she'd forgot
There, she ends up going to Mrs Lacy's office, and finds out something she shouldn't:
That she's the daughter of Leo Lacy (as we're all theorizing) and therefore the true heir to Lacy's, and maybe Mrs Lacy or her mom was hiding that from her
Katy goes back to the Pepper Plant devastated, and when asked her what happened, she tells them and, disillusioned, sings Defying Gravity, the climax of the episode

And I honestly think Lucy could pull this song off if she has a few practicing and vocal training sessions
After, her friends try to cheer her up, but it's not quite working
So, Ginger and Josie go up on stage and start singing the last song of the episode: For Good
As the song goes on, Pepper and Kevin tag along, forgetting about their own problems
This moment is about friendship
Then, the soiree ends, it was a success, Pepper is starting to rise up again, everyone's excited about Kiss of The Spider Woman going to Broadway, and Katy decides to chase her destiny as a designer, and find out why they didn't want her to know who her father was
