Labor & employment scholars: @sachinspandya and I are organizing an open-source web-based book on COVID-related work law issues and we need your help! More accurately, the thousands of people whose work lives have been turned upside down by COVID-19 need your help. 1/6 https://twitter.com/WorkProfBlog/status/1264922486241554432">https://twitter.com/WorkProfB...
In order to help people navigate the fast-changing and confusing COVID-19 work law issues, we& #39;re developing a virtual “book” of short essays that cover related topics for use by workers, employers, and attorneys. 2/6
This "book" would be completely web-based, so it& #39;ll be easy to revise and update the content quickly as the pandemic (and the response to it) unfolds. And anyone with an Internet connection can read it. 3/6
We believe that work-law scholars, working together, can add value by putting these issues in proper context (and in one place) in a way that would really make a difference. 4/6
Possible topics:
• Safety & Health
• Unemployment Insurance
• Workers’ Compensation
• Leave Rights
• Discrimination
• Labor Rights
• Retaliatory filings
• Immigrant Worker issues
