Charlemagne was able to articulate a completely reasonable position on Reid's show that is almost universally absent from our political media: That we are citizens with a right to demand actual things in exchange for our votes.

It sounds obvious until you realize that the dominant mentality in political media is that the Democratic Party doesn't really owe you anything other than not being the Republicans

Vote Blue No Matter Who is not a real or compelling message. It only works on people who have been fully indoctrinated to believe that their relationship with the Democratic Party is that of Fandom, in which they are entitled to and should expect nothing

It's such a frustrating but obviously strategically designed mentality that the people who consider themselves to be the most politically informed have logic poisoned themselves into being the dumbest political actors
