Aug, ’11. First mission as an Aircraft Commander.

Radio: “Capt Sutton your mission is being redirected for human remains (HR)” aka Fallen Soldiers.

My crew and I received these three soldiers in Afghanistan & began the long journey home.

I think about these soldiers and the friends I’ve lost often.

For me, their story didn’t end at the conclusion of their natural life. They still live on in our memories and I believe we all received a debt with their sacrifice.

My hope is to repay this debt is by being a force for good when it comes to improving our community; continue to build a country these fallen heroes would be proud of.

Rest easy my friends, you are gone but not forgotten. #MemorialDay
