My son calls car keys “tire chains,” and I kinda think it’s a better name.
He also calls the American flag “stars and music,” which is again, way better.
Also, a donut cut in half is a “sprinkle bridge.”
A single piece of cheese is simply "chee," so, singular.
To clarify, he knows how to say the word “cheese,” he just made it a point to let me know that his last piece was “a chee” as opposed to the plate of several of them. Makes perfect sense to me.
Only partially vocabulary-related, but we’re going through his gross motor skills to fill out a daycare questionnaire.

We asked him to stand on one foot
I asked him what he wanted to watch, and it took me 15 minutes to realize what “struction pickles” means. He’s normally fairly well-spoken, but he was SO mad I wasn’t getting it.
