When Keith wakes, he's on a beach. Water washes over him, feeling cool. His senses slowly come back as he realizes he hadn't been near water when he crashed his lion. Opening his eyes, he nearly jumps in

surprise when he sees that someone is over him, hovering only an inch from his face. Eyes widening, he watches as the other does the same. It hits him quickly that the other pair of eyes looks like his. To the exact shade...

"Hey, uhhh..." The other speaks up, "Didn't mean to

scare you? I was just out and saw you floating in the water so I brought you back home. Wasn't sure if you were alive or not for a minute."

Keith blinks as the other moves away. He carefully sits up, confused. He glances around to see that what he thought was a beach is really a

cave. A hole in the top lets in thick sunlight, and the land area has sand. Where his legs are is filled with water, maybe the ocean. He glances over at the person, staring at him.

It was him. Well, not Keith exactly. This one looks different. His ears are sharp like Allura and

Coran, but they seem red at the tips. Twin stripes of purple color his cheeks, the lines going down his body. His shoulders are red as well as his stomach area. His hair is the same black but longer.

And then Keith notices that he has a tail. He can't see all of it, but he sees

purple along his torso that fades out to a scarlet that possibly matches his armor.

"You're a merman," Keith speaks, tilting his head, "And you're me? I think...wait, where's Red?"

"I am a merman and I'm pretty sure I'm you, maybe. And what is Red?"

"My lion," Keith frowns before he clarifies, "The Red Lion of Voltron?"

"Voltron?" The other Keith asks, "I haven't heard it. What is Voltron?"

"Uhhh," Keith frowns, "Where are we?"

"Uhhh..." MerKeith blinks before raising a brow, "Earth?"

Keith stares. He wasn't on Earth

"I think I'm not in the right place," Keith sighs, "Is that all you saw?"

"Yeah," MerKeith nods, "Just found you floating
