No idea what Dominic Cummings will say later but I hope it is a ‘mea culpa when we realised we were both likely to be ill we panicked about childcare’. I haven’t had CV19 but friends who have say that it isn’t a time for rational decision making. But I bet all parents ..1/4

..have tried to work out what they’d do about childcare if they got really ill & had noone around to call on. Having issued his mea culpa Cummings should then get on with his job out of the spotlight. This is a national crisis & we need our best people advising. So bring back 2/4

..Neil Ferguson & Catherine Calderwood too. People under pressure don’t always get everything right. I’ve avoided Twitter for most of this crisis & looking at it today I’m glad. Too many people settling old scores particularly around Brexit & too little....3/4
