3/3. at linguistic intimacy & keep going. The media blew this incident out of proportion @JoyAnnReid @TiffanyDCross @michaelharriot treated the remark as the catalyst for Biden& #39;s need to construct a black agenda. @AriMelber @chucktodd tried to create a gotcha moment
4/4. the reaction was reflexive & really exposed media& #39;s double-standard regarding Dems/GOP. There was nothing for Biden to apologize for. There was no need to reexamine the Biden campaign, but what& #39;s more there was this elevating of @cthagod who himself has a troublesome
5/5 troublesome history w/women. Media need to check themselves & focus on informing the public abt the threat to democracy, rather than focusing on tabloid level gotchas for ratings and controversy.

7/7 recognize its reflexive reporting. If Biden had said, "a person who defies what his ancestors have fought for by voting for a person who defiles that struggle, has, in essence, forfeited claims to their ancestors& #39; cultural inheritance." In other words, "they ain& #39;t black"
