As the weather starts to get nice and the sunshine makes us feel better we cannot forget that we are still in a global pandemic. At the beginning of all of this my husband received a letter informing him that the ON transplant program had to be suspended.
He has been waiting almost 8 yrs now for a kidney. We have to realize that it is not only worrying day to day about getting Covid, it's about the treatments and life changing/life saving surgeries being on hold as a result of the virus.
I am seeing more and more people getting very relaxed about social distancing...pictures on social...kids playing in the parks...
We received a second letter this week telling us they are slowly resuming the transplant program.
If we all don't do our part, then we can be right back to where we started. I am pleading to you...for what it is worth... please continue to practise social distancing. Lives depend on it.
