I watched Lana’s vid,,, idk how to feel abt it yet, but something does not sit right with me.... still processing.

I think it’s the fact that she fails to truly acknowledge the struggles that other ppl go through. And she says it’s not about race, but when you’re talking abt how ppl are treated and the level of backlash they receive, race is always a factor. +

+ I think she truly believes she did nothing wrong, and she talks about advocacy for different POC in her vid, but that has nothing to do with her letter. ultimately, she tried to make her point in a messy way. and is STILL being messy. +

+ She didn’t have to name drop anyone ? Why is FKA Twigs in your mouth ma’am??? She basically said “nooo I’m not racist look at what I’ve done for all these ppl!” Like that’s great Lana, but it doesn’t change the fact that when you made your original point, you failed +

+ to recognize the fact that WOC in the industry go through unique struggles that you implied they DIDNT go through by making your point in the way you did. +
