I know exactly who needs to hear this... but you can have a differing opinions or perspectives on issues that are not black and white without trash talking others, spewing vitriol, ad hominem attacks, and logical fallacies.

If you can’t have a civil discussion and give others

the opportunity to change their minds and see your perspective on an issue, to learn, to grow, to evolve, to change... then maybe don’t talk to other humans. You should just set up your little echo chamber on social media and only hear views that are “right” and fit into your

world view.

People with opinions and lived experiences other than yours are not necessarily attacking you. We can have a calm discussion where you explain your point of view, I explain mine, we agree or respectfully agree that our opinions will likely remain unchanged and GASP

we all walk away as mature adults without throwing mud or trashing other people’s characters or livelihoods or personalities.
