THREAD: I was an election judge for 12 years in Cook County IL. We were one of the places dealing with lots of attempted voter fraud. Democrats are spreading fake news about people not being able to leave work to vote, etc...to try & push vote-by-mail. Ask me anything.
You can actually go back on my old Periscope account and watch a live stream from when I worked as a judge in the 2016 election. Somewhere during the afternoon you can catch the scene where someone came to vote saying they lived at my address!
In Illinois we don& #39;t require voter ID but we must have something to verify their address (for precinct designation) so sometimes people will bring a piece of mail. This shady person had actually brought in a letter that they had sent to themselves to an empty house.
I had literally just moved out of my house a couple weeks before and it was still on the market and unoccupied. They of course could not present a second form of verification to confirm their address because their ID card was from Chicago & they claimed they hadn& #39;t updated it.
Now just the fact that someone was able to send themselves a piece of mail to my empty house and snatch it out of the mailbox secretly should show you the dangers of vote-by-mail.
When you hear Democrats using the line "you can& #39;t hack paper" to try and promote vote by mail they must forget how many people are in jail for mail fraud. The postal system is not foolproof and has very little security in general.
This year, an election year, Democratic states are trying to keep us on lockdown extended. So that people whose IDs have expired or need to be updated because they moved, etc. can& #39;t go to govt buildings to renew. Democrats will use this hardship to push against voter ID.
Nothing like creating a problem & then selling the solution! I understand elderly & infirm people should have the opportunity for absentee ballot, which I think already needs stricter proof reqs. But they want the entire system flipped so that there is very little accountability.
So with them pushing so much propaganda currently you should know your rights: If you are in line before polls close the polling place must allow you to vote. Your workplace must allow you time to go vote if you are working throughout the time the polls are open.
How many states do not allow you to carry a firearm into a polling location. Many jurisdictions disallow political ads or promotions at polling places. Usually there will be a line or sign parking distance from the polling place where political signs can begin.
So sorry folks, yes this means you cannot show up in your Trump hat with your AR-15 to vote in many, possibly most, places. This is not disallowing you your right to free speech but rather trying to minimize voter intimidation. You can zip a jacket over your Trump shirt.

I personally agree w/ disallowing of political ads in polling places however I very much disagree w/ not being able to have a firearm in those jurisdictions where that is the law. Voter intimidation can occur buy a group or bigger person & at-risk people should be armed.
