jojo has its unwoke moments and The Scene from ep 14 is my least favorite in VA, but imo there are still things to appreciate about it (yes this is a thread)
-mista is being a HUGE creep. lets get that outta the way. god why.

-BUT. it would have been way too easy to make fugo act like anime characters usually do when they faceplant boobs. but instead he just scolds mista for being a creep
-it would have been super easy to make trish act like anime characters usually do when their boobs are faceplanted. but she seemingly isn’t embarrassed or uncomfortable, rather just… surprised as she watches the scene unfold between the two dumbasses
-imo the way fugo acts is probably the most accurate representation of a teenage boy in a situation like that, but i also cannot ignore how meta his line sounds here. “it was just an accident, but you’re making it seem worse!” isnt that true to every time this happens in manga?
to me it feels so tongue-in-cheek, that i dare to risk sounding like a dumbass and say that this scene was meant to be a jab at the cliché predictable fanservice scenes in manga.
considering yukako’s entire character was confirmed to be the criticism of the moe damsel in distress kind of love interests that were popular at the time, i think this isnt too much of a reach either.
thank you for reading this thread about me attempting to find redeeming qualities about the worst scene in VA
