Things I love about my dad:

1.) He’s always been a dad and a best friend all wrapped up in one. Got tea? Tell dad. Wanna go shopping? Tell dad. Need help? Go to dad. Crying my ass off? Go to dad. Need a plus one? Dad’s always down.

2.) He buys me food at 12AM whenever I’m staying up late studying or just literally doing nothing with my life haha.

3.) Whenever I’m stressed out, sad, anxious, depressed, & even happy, he takes me to the beach. It doesn’t matter if it’s the weekend or a school day, he will take me no questions asked.

4.) He flicks me off a lot for no reason. Not really significant. It’s just so funny. And he doesn’t get mad at me when I do it to him haha.

5.) He’s friends with my friends. Anytime I introduce him to someone, he talks to them the same way he talks to me when we’re being crackheads.

6.) He works hard for his family. He tries his best to provide for us & support us in everything we do.

7.) He is my #1 supporter hands-down. Got a wrestling meet? Dad will be there all day with all the energy drinks & fruits. Got a paddling meet? He’s got the coolers, drinks, pop-ups, chairs, fruits, sandwiches, etc. Got a performance? Dad will be there 1 hour early & stay after.

8.) He’s been my uber driver all my life. I’m terrified of driving & he’s never forced me to drive or learn how. He doesn’t complain when I need him to drive me places & he actually likes it.

9.) He raises me & treats me like I’m a boy since I have 3 older brothers. He has openly allowed me to defy gender norms since the day I could walk. Canopy? Got it. Handiwork? Got it. Water-blasting? Got it. Heavy lifting? Of course I got it. There’s so much more.

10.) He’s my dad. He made me into the dumbass that I am & I absolutely love it.
