Maybe if you need people to perform their grief and trauma so you can cast yourself as an empathetic person, you weren't that empathetic in the first place?

I feel like this isn't kind, and I'll probably delete it, but the idea that being a parent is the key to enlightenment feels extra prevalent during this lockdown and it is working my last nerve, it is a huge flashing red warning sign for me that het nonsense awaits.

Guys, I love kids! I love hearing about your kids, I love hearing about how proud you are of your kids, I love hearing about the stupid shit they do!

I just think it is entirely possible to understand why some people can't or don't have kids, and that they might be struggling with the biggest global crisis in most peoples' living memory, too.
