If you are interested in Indigenous knowledge/culture go to straight to the source, to get the full spectrum of knowledge -don't cheat yourself with "translators", who cannot ever match the direct knowledge source. Here is a list to start.

Indigenous knowledge/ecosystem health is intrinsically tied to Indigenous Rights, as their lands are stolen for Western development. In short if their land is taken they cannot protect it or employ their techniques to conserve it.
Again, think Standing Rock -the land had to be protected from oil companies so the ecosystem can stay intact for future generations. The book Lo-Tek fails to get into the depths of this activism or how the West as destroyed our ecosystems.
