Eid Mubarak! :)

There has been a Bollywood-isation of Qawwalis recently but still some of the original/adapted compositions have been successful in creating the Sufi magic on screen.

Here are five of my favourites....
Arziyan perfectly capture the essence of Delhi 6 - one doesn't need to look for the Almighty outside, it resides in every human being.

It is essentially a call out to all the people to love others and get rid of the 'Kaala Bandar' within themselves.
The soundtrack of D-Day is as underrated as the movie itself. Composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, this popular Qawwali and Alvida from the same album are highly recommended. Specially the latter one for the way it has been shot and conceptualised.
Kun Faaya Kun, literally meaning 'Be and It Is', is six and a half minutes of pure bliss. Thank you A R Rahman, Mohit Chauhan and Javed Ali for strengthening our connection with the supreme being & Irshad Kamil for such heavenly lyrics.
Tajdar-e-Haram (literal: O King of the Holy Sanctuary), is a chant to the God to lend a helping hand to the people in the days of desperation & suffering. This Atif Aslam rendition is a perfect listen in these worrying and unpredictable times.
Again a Shankar Ehsaan Loy track, Noor-E-Khuda is penned down by Niranjan Iyengar, who also wrote the other Sufi track in the album and the rest were written by Javed Akhtar. The veteran poet let Iyengar take the credits for writing all the songs.
Adding the other wonderful suggestions I received on this thread.....
