fandoms care so much about crucifying people with opinions (questionable or not) but never really pay attention to the (not so) silent gaslighters that make you feel uncomfortable for breathing and wrong for feeling different about stuff by making fun of your intelligence
i haven& #39;t felt comfortable in this fandom for a while now, i feel super anxious when i tweet and i feel observed.. that& #39;s because i am usually someone who speaks her mind and i have struggled with it a lot lately and i am sure many people feel the same
and you know why? because saying opinions, even dumb opinions, being inconsistent or even being problematic or condescending at times is human nature, but people in here make fun of you for literally breathing if you are not in their good grace
i feel so sad for people who don& #39;t see how many gaslighters are hiding behind some posts & jokes and probably don& #39;t realize why some people maybe overreact to some stuff, maybe there is a reason why some people are biased against some attitudes... have you ever considered this?
it& #39;s so easy to feel special in fandoms when some people act like you& #39;re worthy of their time but there are so many people who feel invisible and feel mocked, have you ever wondered why? it& #39;s not because they are dumb or overdramatic, it& #39;s because someone makes them feel like it
it& #39;s so easy for people who treat you with no respect to say "lighten up a bit", "it& #39;s fandom life", "it& #39;s not that deep", well.. these people are called GASLIGHTERS, and will always win, because their only weapon is to make you doubt yourself and make you feel dumb
i have been problematic, indirected people, judged opionions and only lately i have realized that it& #39;s so dumb and that can affect other people, but is saying your opinions really worse than making fun of other people& #39;s perceptions?
some people here act like they are above drama, but they literally create it with their own hands and then make fun of you for reacting... if you recognize these people, please run as fast as you can because it& #39;s not worth it
i feel so anxious about posting this but it& #39;s against nature for me to stay silent, i hope this thread will somehow help someone. i& #39;ll try and step away from the fandom from now and enjoy darvey for myself and myself only
