actually baffles me when other women mock feminism like are you not advocating for your own rights to globally equate to men’s rights? or?

too many girls play into the patriarchal idea that feminism is dangerous, radical, and wrong which btw is just leftover oppressive gender inequality that we desperately need to shake

as a woman to openly admit that you don’t agree with feminism is playing into the ‘you’re not like other girls’ narrative which is actually extremely damaging to womanhood (whatever that may appear as to you!)

we spend our lives bending our individual female independence to mould ourselves into the most desirable version that’s palatable for the male gaze and unfortunately that seems to come with slagging off our entire gender ??

because it is ingrained into society, whether you believe it or not, that a woman is to be passive and visually pleasing to satisfy men! just look at 1950s bra advertisements !!

even the media is programmed to quietly manipulate us into believing stereotypical femininity is what will make us more desirable for male consumption. it then teaches us to hate ourselves if we don’t/can’t fit that image

but worse we are taught to fight amongst ourselves?! to bring other women down for how they look/dress/act etc. and by vocally stating you ‘don’t believe in feminism’ you are perpetuating this archaic ideology !!
